Past, Present Future

To my way of thinking, many of the places I photograph present parallels or allegories to life.
In this scene, I see footprints of people past, the tumultuous and constant waves of the present, and the misty uncertainty which is always our future.

Getting away from the humdrum of life and into the great outdoors, allows space for contemplation and leaves the ties to time behind.

Forever

Walking alone on the beach in tumultuous weather, it’s easy to imagine how it would feel to be the last person left on earth

In a Dream

I remember getting to this location at the end of a long day, and a nap in the car (no I wasn’t driving!). Pulling out the camera in my half-asleep state, and looking at this scene, I felt that I could still perhaps be dreaming.
